This may include inviting a prospective member to one or more Boomerang meetings, providing information about Boomerang, confirming or reminding users about appointments, following up on information requests, and/or registering a member with Boomerang, including all related and resulting activities.

Article 3 SMS, WhatsApp, and Messaging Communications

1. If you provide your mobile phone number and give explicit consent, Boomerang may use your mobile phone number to send you SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging communications related to your request, information inquiry, appointment confirmation, reminders, and follow-up information about Boomerang.

2. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier.

3. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, you may reply HELP or contact us at admin@boomerang-bc.nl.

4. Consent to receive SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging communications is not required and is not a condition of purchase, membership, or the use of services.

5. Mobile phone numbers and messaging consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Article 4 Sharing Personal Information with Third Parties

Boomerang only provides personal information to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of an agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. Third parties may include processors or sub-processors, such as franchisees, as well as other third parties, such as system administrators, CRM providers, email service providers, SMS or messaging providers, or hosting providers for Boomerang’s website.

Article 6 Accessing, Correcting, or Deleting Your Personal Information

1. The user has the right to access, correct, or delete their personal information. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal information by Boomerang. You also have the right to data portability.

This means that the relevant user may submit a request to Boomerang to send the personal information Boomerang holds about them in a computer-readable file to the user or to another organization designated by the user.

2. Requests for access, correction, deletion, data transfer, withdrawal of consent, or objection may be sent to admin@boomerang-bc.nl.

3. Boomerang will make reasonable efforts to respond within 4 weeks to a user’s request to access, correct, supplement, delete, transfer, or restrict the processing of personal information relating to that user.

4. To ensure that the access request was made by the user, Boomerang may first request a copy of your identity document. We recommend using the Dutch government’s KopieID app for this purpose, crossing out your passport photo and masking your citizen service number.

5. Boomerang also informs the user that they have the right to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (“Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens”). This can be done through the website of the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Article 7 How Long We Retain Personal Information

Boomerang does not retain your personal information longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the personal information is processed, unless Boomerang is legally required to retain personal information for a longer period.

Any disputes arising from this Privacy Policy shall be governed by Dutch law. All disputes between the user and Boomerang shall be submitted to the competent court of the District Court of Northern Netherlands, location Groningen, the Netherlands.
